BUCK OWENS... R.I.P.

BONANZA was deeply distressed to hear of the passing away of Buck Owens at the weekend.

Buck was a true innovator of Country music being largely responsible for ‘The Bakersfield Sound’. He was also a great entertainer and hosted 'Hee- Haw', one of the single most successful and longest running TV shows of all time.

Openly critical of some of the more saccharine-sweet, mainstream Country acts, Buck wasn’t afraid to speak his mind:

“Assembly line robot music turns me off”.

BONANZA on Resonance 104.4 FM will, of course, pay tribute to the great man in the coming weeks.
