Bonanza & Son djing at JIM WHITE LONDON SHOWS + the week ahead..
Howdy Folks,
We hope this update finds you well on these the first days of September but never fear, the warm weather is predicted to continue...
We have an equally bright and exciting Bonanza & Son week ahead including a DJ gig with Jim White at Saint Pancras Old Church and the relaunch of our radio show after a short summer break…
•During August we had a little break from our ResonanceFM radio show but we are back on the airwaves and broadcasting this Wednesday 4th September at 4:30pm (UK Time)
We can assure you our record box is now full to bursting with yet-to-be-released gems as well as plenty of dusty old vinyl that we’ve picked up throughout August.
We will, as always, be playing the best of all the upcoming Country and Americana releases including brand new tracks from Roy Harper, Jason Isbell, Jonathan Wilson, Austin Lucas, Ricky Skaggs, The Lucky Strikes, Rod Picott, Laura Veirs and many, many more….
We are also very excited to host a live session by Dan Raza & The Shrouds as well as James Harry Oakwood who will be popping in to discuss his many projects including The Hornsey Festival which takes place weekend of 13/14/15 September so stick it in your diary.
•Then on Friday Bonanza & Son will be spinning the best of all our recent vinyl acquisitions plus some vintage classics and off the radar gems for your dancing and drinking pleasure at The New Rose, 84 Essex Road, Angel, N1 from 8pm til 2am.
•On Sunday there is a repeat of our Radio show at 11am and then on Sunday and Monday evening we are very excited to be DJing at Jim White’s live shows at The Saint Pancras Old Church, 191 Pancras Road, NW1 1UL… Jim’s live shows are always a blast with his combination of exceptional wit and beguiling storytelling as well as his wonderfully sun-parched, dusty, Gothic Country tales.

A live session and interview from one of London’s most talented songwriters on the run up to his gig at Countrier Than Thou on 19th September. Dan Raza has gained considerable acclaim on the live scene both here and across the pond, opening for artists such as Mary Gauthier, Badly Drawn Boy, Cara Dillon and Slaid Cleaves. On his most recent album he lives up to the accolades with an uncanny talent of weaving and smithing word and tune into something truly spell-binding.
Also in the studio is promoter and musician James Harry Oakwood who will be discussing his many projects including the upcoming Hornsey Music Festival.
