We hope this update finds you well and warm on what feels like the onset of Autumn already…
Moving swiftly on we have another busy and exciting week ahead for you…
•As mentioned in our previous update Bonanza & Son were honoured to be djing at Jim White’s two sold out shows at The Saint Pancras Old Church on Sunday and Monday just gone. We aired a brand new Bonanza & Son mix which we have included a link to here (www.mixcloud.com/bonanza-son/bonanza-son-convoy-mix-for-jim-white-september-2013/) just click the link or copy and paste into the URL/location bar above.
Jim White also came into the ResonanceFM studio today and we recorded a number of exclusive brand new songs and an interview. We will broadcast this in its entirety next week Wednesday 18th September at 4:30pm but because we know you can’t wait til then we will give one of the songs an exclusive airing on today's show at 4:30pm Wednesday 11th September... Another exclusive on Bonanza & Son on ResonanceFM!
Also on the show will be a live session from the toast of Maverick magazine's Harry Mundy and band who’s brand new album ‘Colour Myself Back In’ just received a rave review. Tune in on 104.4FM in London or on www.resonancefm.com
Our record box is still full to bursting with yet-to-be-released gems as well as plenty of dusty old vinyl that we’ve picked up recently and
we will, as always, be playing the best of all the upcoming Country and Americana releases including brand new tracks from Roy Harper, Jason Isbell, Jonathan Wilson, Austin Lucas, Ricky Skaggs , Rod Picott, Laura Veirs, The Lucky Strikes and many, many more….
•On Friday 13th Bonanza & Son are djing at The Hornsey Festival in The Great Northern Railway Tavern as part of The Harry Oakwood Americana Stage. There are lots of amazing acts playing live from 6pm til late as well as lots of other venues and events in and around Hornsey. The Festival runs from Friday to Sunday so please check out the website for full details (www.hornseymusicfestival.co.uk/) The whole event is to raise money for a very worthy cause 'Action For Kids’ so please support this by coming along and giving whatever you can afford.
•Then on Saturday 14th Bonanza & Son will be spinning the best of all our recent vinyl acquisitions plus some vintage nuggets and
off-the-radar gems for your dancing and drinking pleasure at The Lauriston, 162 Victoria Park Rd, Hackney, E9 7JN from 9pm til 12:30am.
•On Sunday 15th it is time once again for our monthly Bonanza & Son Film Set at The Defectors Weld, 170 Uxbridge Rd, W12. Shepherds Bush. We shall be playing film soundtracks and other laid back Sunday tunes as well as screening all your favourite films from the past. The fun starts at 4pm til 11pm.
•Finally we’d like to mention that Britain’s best comedian Stewart Lee is hosting a fund-raising event for @ResonanceFM this week.
Don't miss Resofit today Wednesday 11th September 2013 at The Bloomsbury Theatre. An all-star comedy gala to raise funds for Resonance FM. Starring Simon Amstell, Baconface, Stewart Lee, Shazia Mirza, Rob Newman, Lewis Schaffer and Rosie Wilby.
