Live acts:

Christopher Rees (Album Launch):
Bonanza & Son are very proud to announce that we will be hosting the London album launch for Christopher Rees critically acclaimed new album ’Stand Fast’. The album follows the success and critical acclaim of his previous album which won over everyone from Mojo Magazine and Uncut to BBC Radio's Bob Harris and Janice Long. We heard a sneak preview of the new album last month and we think it is his best album to date. The album shows a maturity of songwriting that belies his years.

Rees continues to embrace the banjo-picking intensity now augmented by a full band and his trademark Gretsch 'geetar’ twang. Ace first single,'Alright Squires’, heads an upbeat collection of songs in the Murder Ballad tradition of Johnny Cash, in fact this is, perhaps, what Johnny Cash would have sounded like if he’d been brought up in the Welsh Valleys rather than on an Arkansas, Cotton Farm!

'A spit and sawdust holler that is as close to a Southern hell-fire preacher as you can get hailing from Cardiff. Very, very good'... (MOJO)

Miraculous Mule:
Miraculous Mule are on fire at the moment, we received a promo' copy of their forthcoming debut album which has blown our socks off. This is Hell-fire Blues and Gospel for the modern age and a search for redemption in these God-less times of thieving bankers and corrupt, lying politicians. Miraculous Mule tell gritty parables and authentic tales of drink and drugs and the sins of the flesh. Come and be baptised in their progressive Church of Punk-Blues, Country and Gospel.

Bonanza & Son 'Song Of The Day’:

Bonanza & Son 'Song Of The Day’:

Hoyt Axton-‘Billie’s Theme’.

Bonanza & Son's favourite ‘Okie’ wrote this track for The 1974 movie 'Buster & Billie’…

… The music supervisor on the film was ‘Wrecking Crew’ member, record producer, arranger, conductor and session musician Al De Lory who was the arranger and producer on Glen Campbell’s best known songs.

Hoyt Axton was no stranger to the big screen himself having acted in films such as ‘Gremlins’ as well as numerous TV shows. His Mother Mae Boren Axton co-wrote 'Heartbreak Hotel’, Elvis Presley’s first, worldwide hit record.
